The founding Bailliages in Switzerland dating back to 26 may 1951 were Geneva, Pays de Vaud and the Wallis.
Switzerland's 2000 members make us the third largest national Bailliage on a global perspective. Number one is the U.S.A. followed by Germany. Non-professional members account for about 70% of all Swiss members. Professional members are the Chefs, Maîtres d', Sommeliers and hotel and restaurant managers.
220 Member Restaurants
The 220 member restaurants are carefully selected tested by the respective authority of the national leadership team. The 220 restaurants will vouch for excellent quality in cuisine and service. There is a wide range of establishments in all categories. They are unified in a passion for reliable, sustainable gastronomy.
2 International Grand Chapitres
Two „Grand Chapitres", national events offering new and promoted members to be inducted in a special setting are organized in spring and autumn respectively. These are usually visited by numerous guests from abroad.
Once a member, you are entitled to participate in any Chaîne event globally. Visits to foreign Bailliages are memorable events and the basis for many new acquaintances and friendships.
