Task |
Preparation of a complete menu for 4 people (starter, main course, dessert). Plate service. The contents of the shopping basket will be announced to the participants after registration. The basket is available to the participants before they enter the kitchen. Each participant has similar goods with ingredients for starters, main courses and desserts to prepare according to their own imagination. Cookbooks are permitted during the written menu preparation. The kitchen supervisor may make recommendations to support the candidates. |
Jury | The jury consists of 2 professional members in the kitchen and another 6 people (professionals and restaurateurs) to judge the dishes served. The jury members are appointed by the Conseil National. Decisions of the jury are final and cannot be appealed. |
Conditions of participation |
Eligible are persons who have been resident in Switzerland for two years and have not yet reached the age of 27 by 01.09.2025, and they must also work in a Swiss Chaîne business. A maximum of 8 candidates can take part in the competition.Winners are excluded from further national competitions of the Chaîne, but may be called upon to serve as jury members. The other participants are entitled to take part in further national competitions of the Chaîne. |
Remuneration | Reimbursement of the return journey by SBB 2nd class from the place of residence to Interlaken. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. |

Registration / Registration deadline |
The written application is made by the employer or chef using the enclosed application form, together with the candidate's CV, photo and copies of certificates. The application must be sent to the following address by 31 January 2025: Bd de Pérolles 32 1700 Fribourg The application documents will be examined by the competition organising committee. Applicants and their employers will be notified of their acceptance by 10 February 2025. |
